Susan Jane Duncan, age 72, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Saturday August 16, 2025 at her home. She was born February 13, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Dorothy Mae (nee Murphy) and Perry Donnell Duncan.
She is survived by her sister Mary Kay (the late Paul) Wolfe of St. Charles, Missouri; sister-in-law Lynn Duncan of Chesterfield, Missouri; and a niece Katie Duncan of St. Charles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David Duncan.
Susan worked as a counselor and human resources trainer, retiring from Lutheran Senior Services in St. Louis. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City and a St. Vincent dePaul Society Volunteer; was a current Crystal City Public Library Board Member; a member of the Crystal City Book Club. Sue was a quilter, cat lover, doting aunt, avid reader, eager traveler, and a loving caregiver for her mom and aunt.
Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday August 21, 2025 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Friday August 22, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Fr. Mike Coleman of Columbia, Missouri. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials in Susan’s memory are preferred to the Ozark Food Pantry, St. Vincent dePaul Society at Sacred Heart Church, Crystal City Public Library, or the Humane Society of Missouri.
