Raymond P. Ehlen, 74, of De Soto died Nov. 18, 2021, in De Soto. Ray was a propane gas truck driver and was a siding installer for Ehlen Construction. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Born June 5, 1947, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Pauline (Ems) and Clarence Ehlen.
He is survived by his wife: Joan (Mouser) Ehlen, whom he married Nov. 29, 1968; four children: Eric (Celeste) Ehlen of De Soto, Sarah (Tony) Kessen of St. Louis County, Matt (Shannah) Ehlen of Manchester and Paul (Elizabeth) Ehlen of Hillsboro; two sisters: Geralyn (Tal Craft) Ehlen of Waterloo, Ill., and Juanita Ehlen of Barnhart; three brothers: Ronald (Barb) Ehlen of St. Clair, Robert “Bob” (Janice) Ehlen of De Soto and Wayne (Esther) Ehlen of Barnhart. Ray was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
