Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Stackley, age 74, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her home. She was born January 29, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of late Ardelle Ursula (nee Meese) and Richard Gerald “Speedy” Wallman.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Stackley; sons Chad (Kara) Stackley of Pevely, Missouri, and Kevin (fiancé Kimberly Denbow) Stackley of Festus, Missouri; grandchildren Ryan Stackley, Jillian Stackley, Haley Denbow, and Ariel Denbow; and sisters Nancy (Bob) Nicholas of Barnhart, Missouri, and Mary (Ralph Brown) Buck-Schumm.
Betty was a 1965 graduate of St. Pius X high school, and the Sanford Brown Business College. She was an accountant for Jefferson Memorial Hospital before becoming a Certified Municipal Clerk where she worked for the City of Pevely for 30 years, retiring in 2012, and holds the distinction of being the first Certified Municipal Clerk in Jefferson County. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, and a member of the Missouri Clerks and Finance Officers Association.
Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Sacred Heart Church in Crystal City, officiated by Fr. Mathew Cheruparambil. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorial contributions in Betty’s memory are preferred to the Humane Society.
