Lancers win 3 OT Thriller on the Road

As the weather got worse outside, the Lancers were just starting to heat up inside the DeSoto Fieldhouse. The Lancers went on the road and defeated traditional conference powerhouse DeSoto 65-59 in triple overtime.

The Lancers were led by Melissa Collins who dropped in 19 points and 15 rebounds along with Gabrielle Moser and Amie Held. They chipped in with 13 and 12 respectively. All of Held's points came during the three extra periods.

The Lancers are now 6-0 in the JCCA and have a match-up looming on Monday with another undefeated conference opponent Crystal City. The rivalry game should be VERY competitive and heated as all St. Pius - Crystal City match-ups are.

The JV Lancers had a 5 point lead after 3 quarters and ended up falling to a very good DeSoto ball club 29-23. Caroline Basler led the team with 9 points off the bench.
