Please visit actstudent.org for future registration deadlines.
I also suggest they
register online at
actstudent.org
. The St. Pius High School code is 261-087. The Pius Test Site Code (To take the test at St. Pius) is 167830. Unless the student is going to Washington University or a Division 1 or 2 schools to play sports, he probably does not need to take the Writing Section of the ACT. If playing in D1 or 2, the student must send to ACT scores directly to the NCAA Clearinghouse. Their code is 9999. Place that code on the registration page along with the three other schools you can send them to for free. The NCAA no longer accepts the ACT scores on our transcript. |

Schools I visited this Summer |

I try to lead by example and part of this
is to attend as many college fairs and open houses as possible. Additionally, my wife Teresa, a college
counselor at Hillsboro High School, and I are college search junkies. This year we added the following to the ever
growing list of schools visited. In Illinois we toured Southern Illinois
University at Carbondale. In Missouri
and Nebraska as part of the annual Missouri Counselors Association summer tour,
we toured Central Methodist University, Central Missouri State University,
Northwest Missouri State University, William Jewell University, and Rockhurst
University. In Nebraska the tour
included the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Creighton University in
Omaha. Then, while vacationing in
Colorado we went to the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State
University in Fort Collins and Northwestern Colorado State University in
Greeley. This brings our grand total of
schools visited to 131 in 19 states. See
the list and further details in the article posted on the web site to your
left. Also, watch every week the College
Blog. There is always something new!
